These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of QueryCheck (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The service
QueryCheck provides an AI-assisted manuscript submission readiness tool, including a free structural diagnosis and a paid, one-time submission package (query letter, synopsis, comp titles, and pitch variants). The Service is provided on a per-project basis — there is no subscription.
Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You’re responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Your content
You retain full ownership of your manuscript, query letters, and any other content you submit to QueryCheck (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service to you — including sending it to our AI providers for analysis and generation, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train AI models.
AI-generated content
QueryCheck uses AI to generate diagnoses, query letters, synopses, comp titles, and pitch materials based on the information you provide. This content is a drafting aid, not professional editorial, legal, or literary advice. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and fact-checking any generated content before using it — including verifying comp titles, agent names, and submission guidelines independently. We do not guarantee that using QueryCheck will result in literary agent representation, a publishing deal, or any particular outcome.
Payment and refunds
The full submission package is available for a one-time fee, charged at the time of purchase via Stripe. Because the package is generated on demand, purchases are generally non-refundable once your package has been delivered. If something went wrong with your order or generation failed, contact us at hello@querycheck.co and we’ll make it right.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to submit content you don’t have the rights to.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its underlying systems.
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QueryCheck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
