Tracing the alteration, she uncovers that the Archive has been quietly redrawing the coast for a generation, erasing the drowned district of Low Harrow to hide a flood it caused. Her mentor, Keeper Sable, knows — and has spent years deciding the lie is a mercy.

With smuggler Tomas, Mira breaks into the vault to copy the original survey before the next certification makes the forgery permanent. In the climax she confronts Sable and publishes the true chart, trading the Archive’s authority for the truth — and stays to rebuild the trust her honesty broke, beginning with the map of Low Harrow the dead were owed.
